The Book of Common Ground Debuts at the European Parliament

Free digital edition introduced in Strasbourg during Re-Imagine Europa’s depolarisation exhibition

The Book of Common Ground Debuts at the European Parliament

In November 2024, The Book of Common Ground was introduced to policymakers, researchers, and civil society representatives at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

The Book of Common Ground, developed in collaboration between the Evens Foundation and Awe Studio and utilising Re-Imagine Europa's core research on narratives, explores polarisation through the lens of fairytales. It presents a story that encourages reflection on conflict, identity, and the potential for understanding across differences.

The Strasbourg event marked the release of the book’s free digital edition, making it accessible to a wide audience.

The launch coincided with Re-Imagine Europa’s Depolarisation Exhibition, a multi-day event showcasing narratives from different communities about the climate crisis using the research from the Narratives Observatory combatting Disinformation in Europe Systemically (NODES).

In early 2025, softcover copies will be distributed to every sitting Member of the European Parliament, ensuring that the book’s themes reach policymakers across the EU.

The print edition of The Book of Common Ground will be formally launched in Spring 2025, with dedicated events in Brussels and Amsterdam, providing further opportunities to engage with its themes and discuss their relevance to contemporary European challenges.
