Belfedar, an extraordinary cooperative game!

Learn to cooperate while having fun! Preventing violence and managing conflicts differently ...
Belfedar is the fruit of a partnership between the Université de Paix (University of Peace) and the Evens Foundation. It’s a cooperative game to help develop useful social skills in order to prevent violence and manage conflict positively, through exercises designed to better understand both oneself and others, develop self-esteem, and encourage creative expression, the expression and management of emotions, listening, cooperation, etc.
The 250 challenges offered are active and interactive: mime, drawings, games involving words, writing, movement, singing, and so on. But this game is not only entertaining thanks to its diversity, it is also an opportunity for everyone to exercise their particular talents so that the players combine resources to successfully complete the challenges.
A game for 4–8 players aged over 10 - duration: 30 to 60 minutes.
The Evens Foundation wishes to present this game in various European languages to raise awareness among educators about positive conflict management within the framework of its Peace Education program. The distribution of the game is only the first step in a larger project. In a second phase, workshops and trainings related to the game will be organized by our partners.
The French version was the first to appear. It is on sale at the Université de Paix (Belgium and other countries) and Non-Violence Actualité (France).
From 27th to 29th June 2012 the Evens Foundation and the Université de Paix organized the first transnational Belfedar meeting in Namur to prepare the next editions with partners from Poland, Spain and Flanders.
