Origin

The Evens Foundation is a public-benefit foundation with headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium and additional offices in Paris and Warsaw. Created in 1990, it owes its existence to the generosity of the late Mrs Irène Evens-Radzymniska and Mr Georges Evens, philanthropists and European enthusiasts. Of Polish origin, they settled in Antwerp after the Second World War and Mr Georges Evens pursued a remarkable career in the diamond industry. Given his great success in business, they wished to give something back to society - through the Evens Foundation.

Mrs Corinne Evens - daughter of the founders - is honorary president of the Foundation.
